Libya vs Rwanda Betting Tips - Under 2.5 Goals

A tight and competitive contest can be expected when Libya takes on Rwanda in an African Cup of Nations qualification tie this week. 

Ranked 117th and 131st in the FIFA rankings, there is little to choose between these nations and recent results, coupled with past meetings indicate a low-scoring outcome can be anticipated. 

Under Serbian boss Milutin Sredojevi?, Libya have been in good form, picking up five wins and just one loss from their last seven matches. The Libyans have also seen under 2.5 goals scored in seven of their last ten home fixtures, including four of their last five. Milutin Sredojevi?′s side have been held to 1:1 draws in three of their last four home contests.

Rwanda return to action in similarly decent form, picking up three wins and only one defeat in their last seven matches. Torsten Spittler′s men scored a famous 2:0 win against South Africa in a World Cup qualifier last November while they also edged to a 1:0 victory at Lesotho in their most recent outing.

Goals are usually scarce when the Rwandans are in action - Spittler′s side saw under 2.5 goals scored in 18 of their last 19 matches over the past two years.

Previous encounters also proved low-scoring, with under 2.5 goals netted in six of eight meetings since 2012. A similar outcome seems likely this week.

While Libya are narrow favourites, I prefer to put my money on the under 2.5 goal line, with a low-scoring draw not to be ruled out.
